Internal Rules

  • Affinity Arts International School, through its services, attends children ages 2 to 6 years old, in Early Childhood Education, and ages 6 to 11 years old, in the complementation school program in the English language (IDEALS).
 
  • Affinity Arts International School functions, daily, Monday through Friday, at specific hours for each program and conforming with the active school calendar.
 
  • Children are only given to parents or authorized guardians who have been previously placed on the child’s register. Any alteration should be communicated (in writing), in advance, to the school secretary.
 
  • Any and all medication to be given to the student, during the period they are at the school, will be carried out only after delivery of the medicine (to the secretary) with the respective medical prescription.

  • ​One parent or guardian will be allowed in the classroom for a maximum of one week during the adaptation period. During this period, the Professor and/or the Pedagogical Coordination will guide the gradual exit from the room.
 
  • With the objective to protect the health of the student, the school reserves the right to not allow a student to remain in the facility if they present signs or symptoms of infectious diseases (including: fever, pediculosis, conjunctivitis, influenza or cold).

  1. When the child presents any sign or symptom of the mentioned diseases, in the school environment, they school will notify the parents or guardians.
  2. To return to the school, after the infectious period has ended, it is obligatory to present a doctor’s note clearing the child.

  • Our institution offers, free of charge, the services through the agreement with UTI Vida for the students in any possible emergency inside the premises of the school and during school hours.
 
  • The student, who arrives at school until 8am, should be taken directly to the waiting area. The student shall be taken to the classroom after this time.
 
  • Parents and guardians can take their children to the classrooms until 8:30 am. After 8:30 am, the student should be taken directly to the secretary’s office.
 
  • At the end of the school day, parents and guardians should get their children with their respective teachers. In the case of delays, the children will remain in the waiting area.
 
  • At school, Children should not use jewelry (bracelets, rings, necklaces, even toys, especially with links), because even beyond the school not being responsible for said objects, they may cause accidents or injuries.
 
  • The school has made available select pedagogical material to complete daily activities, and as such, the student has no necessity to bring any type of toy.
 
  • Information in respect to monthly payments and financial aspects are listed, in detailed form, in the contract.
 
  • In case of cancellation of registration, the parent or guardian should follow the established norms in the signed contract with the school.
 
  • The use of the complete uniform (shirt, shorts or skirt, pants, and coat, all with the logo of the institution) is obligatory.
 
  • All of the material/items for individual use should be identified with the complete name of the student.
 
  • Meetings with school directors, outside of the programmed school calendar, can be scheduled, in advance, at the school secretary’s office.
 
  • Birthday parties should be scheduled in the secretary’s office and occur following the rules, on the following pages.
 
  • The daily planner is an important tool of communication (for parents & the school). It will be sent home every Friday and should be returned on the following Monday, properly signed. The specific daily planner for the institution must be used and should be acquired by the parent or guardian.
